Step-by-Step Written Instructions

If you prefer to follow along with written instructions, we’ve got you covered. Below is a simple, easy-to-follow guide to ensure your installation is quick, clean, and flawless.

What You'll Need

  • Clean the Floor – Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or debris. This will help the vinyl adhere better.
  • Smooth the Surface – If there are cracks, bumps, or uneven spots, sand or fill them to create a flat base.
  • Measure the Space – Measure the area where the vinyl will be installed. Add a small margin for error.
  • Cut the Vinyl – Use a utility knife to cut the vinyl according to your measurements. Double-check before cutting to avoid mistakes.
  • Peel & Position – If the vinyl is self-adhesive, peel off the backing and slowly position it on the surface. For non-adhesive vinyl, use an adhesive spray or soapy water (for wet applications) to position the vinyl.
  • Align Carefully – Start from one side and work slowly to avoid misalignment. Use a squeegee or roller to press it down as you go, removing any air bubbles.
  • Use a Squeegee – Press firmly from the center of the vinyl to the edges, pushing out any air bubbles.
  • Repeat as Needed – If stubborn bubbles remain, use a pin or fine needle to puncture them, then press them down.
  • Trim Excess Edges – Use a utility knife to carefully trim any excess material along the edges.
  • Inspect Your Work – Check for any loose edges, bubbles, or misalignments. Make final adjustments as needed.

Pro Tips for a Perfect Finish

Work Slowly

Rushing can lead to misalignment or air bubbles.

Keep It Clean

Dust or dirt can compromise the adhesive, so ensure the surface stays clean.

Don’t Stretch

Avoid stretching the vinyl as it may shrink later.
